My interests focus on the biomechanics of primate locomotion and postcranial functional morphology. I am specifically interested in the relationships between the cervical spine, skull, and pectoral girdle. Utilizing comparative morphology and locomotor modeling, my research investigates historical patterns of positional behavior in hominoids, including the evolution of bipedality in hominins. Other interests include musculoskeletal plasticity and how behavior influences skeletal morphology.
