7:30 & 8:30pm, Join Wonderfest for a night of brainy talks by experts from UCSF: Dr. Elissa Epel on obesity and the brain, and Dr. Howard Fields on the brain’s ability to create “a virtual mind-body experience.”

Your Brain on Music
(East Pavilion)
Catch a live recording of the Carry the One Podcast with special guest, Indre Viskontas, an opera singer and Neuroscientist and discover what goes on in the brain when we sing.

Consciousness Talks

  • 8:00pm - Yoga teacher and wellness expert Jenna Pacelli shares her talk - Healing The Wound: Mending an imperfect childhood and our adult relationships through yoga and mindfulness.
  • 8:15pm - Yoga teacher Diana Oppenheim presents Brain + Body: How Yoga & Mindfulness Can Restore Energetic Balance.
  • 8:30pm - Legendary Bay Area Yoga teacher Darren Main leads a talk on the mind/body connection.

Sunset Salutations

Do some Sun(Set) Salutations in a very special class taught by Mira Valeria

Yoga + Live DJ Set
6:30 & 7:30pm,
Downward Dog to a live DJ set by DJ HyFi in the Piazza. Class taught by Yvonne Kingsley.

Beyond Sonification Brain Reader
6:00 - 10:00pm,
 What do your thoughts look and sound like? Using a modified commercial EEG reader, Colin Harrington's project transforms his dreams—or anybody’s thoughts and emotions—into soundscapes and imagery.

Health Hall
(Project Lab)
6:00 - 10:00pm,
Scout the health focused tables from Bitty Foods, Health Ade Kombucha and Yoga Tree.

  • Yoga class capacity is limited in each location and entry is not guaranteed.
  • Living Roof and Coral Reef yoga sessions require passes which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 6 pm outside on the front building concourse.

  • Hurry! Last entry for our Rainforest dome is at 7:45 pm. Please note: drinks are not allowed inside the Rainforest exhibit.
  • Thirsty? Each bar area features a unique seasonal cocktail—there are multiple bars throughout the museum.
  • Special programs and lectures may have limited seating and admission will also be made available to visitors on a first-come, first-served basis.



  • Planetarium passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Early event arrival is strongly recommended due to limited capacity and high demand for passes.



  • A variety of food options are available at NightLife from 6:00-9:30 pm, including The Academy Cafe, The Terrace, and The Academy Cafe Food Cart located in the front lobby.
  • Enjoy a different fresh seasonal "craft on draft" cocktail at each NightLife bar area designed by our resident mixologist Shane McKnight!

All bars accept cash and credit cards.
