CURATORIAL EXPERIENCE

Started a personal collection while in High School in 1940 (and which was added to each year), primarily donated to the California Academy of Sciences. Of accessions made between 1948 and 1989, about 450,000 processed specimens and over 1,350,000 unprocessed specimens have been donated to or collected for CAS. Over 8,000 Culicoides specimens and types collected in Japan in 1954-55 and additional Diptera deposited in the USNMNH in 1956. Diptera material and types were donated to the AMNH in 1962.
