Holotype (unique): MRAC 15306. Type information: Roberts 1981:92 [ref. 20634]; see also Roberts 1986:436 [ref. 6223]. Original genus should have been spelled Chonerhinos. •Synonym of Chonerhinos modestus Bleeker 1850 -- (Roberts 1981:91 [ref. 20634]). •Synonym of Auriglobus modestus (Bleeker 1850) -- (Ebert 2001:91 [ref. 25494]). Current status: Synonym of Auriglobus modestus (Bleeker 1850). Tetraodontidae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
