Holotype: USNM 87351. Paratypes: ANSP 123459 (1); MNH 13941-42 (1, 1); UMMZ (many), USNM 117489 [ex UMMZ 54430] (4). Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:52 [ref. 12367]. •Valid as Coregonus reighardi (Koelz 1924) -- (Lee et al. 1980:89 [ref. 22416], Smith 1986:215 [ref. 22186], McAllister 1990:81 [ref. 14674], Scott & Crossman 1998:260 [ref. 24570], Lyons et al. 2000:40 [ref. 26594], Nelson et al. 2004:86 [ref. 27807], Bailey et al. 2004:147 [ref. 27882], Scharpf 2006:25 [ref. 30386], Page & Burr 2011:388 [ref. 31215], Page et al. 2013:86 [ref. 32708], Page et al. 2023:82 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Coregonus reighardi (Koelz 1924). Salmonidae: Coregoninae. Distribution: Northeastern North America: originally lakes Michigan, Huron and Ontario (Canada, U.S.A.) [now probably extinct]. Habitat: freshwater.
