One specimen from Prespa Lakes was caught in 2011 [ref. 35029]. •Valid as Salmo letnica (Karaman 1924) -- (Baxter & Stone 1995:188 [ref. 23374], Kottelat 1997:137 [ref. 22952], Dorofeeva 1998:442 [ref. 24680], Fuller et al. 1999:256 [ref. 25838], Delling 2002:299 [ref. 26660], Delling & Doadrio 2005:55 [ref. 28211], Kottelat & Freyhof 2007:422 [ref. 29996], Barbieri et al. 2015:83 [ref. 35029], Schöffmann 2021:159 [ref. 38997], Shumka et al. 2023:39 [ref. 40747]). Current status: Valid as Salmo letnica (Karaman 1924). Salmonidae: Salmoninae. Distribution: Southeastern Europe: Lake Ohrid (Albania and Macedonia). Habitat: freshwater.
