Type catalog: Bertin 1940:296-297 [ref. 293]. •Valid as Lycothrissa crocodilus (Bleeker 1850) -- (Whitehead et al. 1988:448 [ref. 5725], Roberts 1989:26 [ref. 6439], Kottelat et al. 1993:22 [ref. 23448], Rainboth 1996:64 [ref. 22772], Wongratana et al. 1999:1720 [ref. 24719], Munroe & Nizinski in Randall & Lim 2000:588 [ref. 25122], Freyhof et al. 2000:94 [ref. 25184], Kottelat 2001:26 [ref. 25780], Kottelat & Widjanarti 2005:147 [ref. 28284], Parenti & Lim 2005:179 [ref. 28285], Kottelat 2013:53 [ref. 32989], Taki et al. 2021:54 [ref. 39830]). •Possibly in the genus Setipinna Swainson 1839 -- (Lavoué & Ho 2017:347 [ref. 35470]). Current status: Valid as Lycothrissa crocodilus (Bleeker 1850). Engraulidae: Coiliinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
