Fish Commission v. 9 (art. 10) (for 1889); ref. 12400] Spring Creek, Huntsville, about 34°44'N, 86°35'W, Alabama, U.S.A. Lectotype: needs research. Paralectotypes (incl. lectotype): USNM 125055 (1), 225996 (1); CAS-SU 1029 (8); UMMZ 15792 (1). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:53 [ref. 12291]. Lectotype established (as figured specimen) in caption to Pl. 105, p. 3255 in Jordan & Evermann 1900 [ref. 2446] if figured specimen is identifiable and an original type. Now extinct -- (Lazara 2001:140 [ref. 25711], Ghedotti et al. 2004:53 [ref. 27500]). •Valid as Fundulus albolineatus Gilbert 1891 -- (Lee et al. 1980:507 [ref. 22416], Boschung 1992:85 [ref. 23239], Wildekamp 1996:225 [ref. 23649], Mettee et al. 1996:447 [ref. 25836], Lazara 2001:140 [ref. 25711], Ghedotti et al. 2004:53 [ref. 27500], Nelson et al. 2004:102 [ref. 27807], Boschung & Mayden 2004:384 [ref. 27995], Scharpf 2007:12 [ref. 30398], Page & Burr 2011:428 [ref. 31215], Ghedotti & Davis 2013:58 [ref. 32490] in subgenus Fundulus, Page et al. 2013:105 [ref. 32708]). Current status: Valid as Fundulus albolineatus Gilbert 1891. Fundulidae. Distribution: Alabama, U.S.A. [extinct]. Habitat: freshwater.
