Also in Hutton 1876:209 [ref. 14210]. •Valid as Plagiogeneion rubiginosus (Hutton 1875) -- (Heemstra & Randall 1977:367 [ref. 7057], Heemstra 1986:638 [ref. 5660], Paulin et al. 1989:189 [ref. 24556], Shcherbachev et al. 1989:167 [ref. 36134], Yatsu in Amaoka et al. 1990:276 [ref. 16024]). •Valid as Plagiogeneion rubiginosum (Hutton 1875) -- (Parin 1991:459 [ref. 19174], Heemstra & Heemstra 2004:298 [ref. 28072], Allen 2006:1191 [ref. 29089], Gomon 2008:586 [ref. 30616], Duffy & Ahyong 2015:114 [ref. 36167], Trnski 2015:1277 [ref. 34198], Heemstra in Carpenter & De Angelis 2016:2533 [ref. 34618], Heemstra 2022:28 [ref. 39870]).
