Type catalog: Whitehead & Talwar 1976:162 [ref. 23762], Ferraris et al. 2000:300 [ref. 25110]. Reasons for loss of ZSI type specimens during WWII see Chopra 1947:349-350 [ref. 33077]. •Valid as Labeo nigripinnis Day 1877 -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:215 [ref. 20764], Rafique 2000:324 [ref. 25220], Jayaram & Dhas 2000:106 [ref. 25342], Mirza 2003:8 [ref. 27265]). •Valid as Bangana nigripinnis (Day 1877) -- (Luo & Zhou 2009:66 [ref. 30000]). Current status: Valid as Labeo nigripinnis Day 1877. Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Pakistan. Habitat: freshwater.
