Also appeared as a new species with generic description in Herre 1924:1569 [ref. 2120]; earliest not established. •Valid as Barbodes pachycheilus (Herre 1924) -- (Kottelat 2013:79 [ref. 32989], Jamandre 2023:165 [ref. 40455]). Current status: Valid as Barbodes pachycheilus (Herre 1924). Cyprinidae: Smiliogastrinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mindanao (Philippines) endemic. Habitat: freshwater.
