Type catalog: Bauchot et al. 1983:34 [ref. 21546] with a holotype. Reference in table of contents to Pl. 124 is apparently in error. Pl. 124 identified as Diagramma orientale. Based on literature and specimen. Predated by Diagramma pica Cuvier in Guérin-Méneville 1828, Pl. 26 (no. 31) [ref. 29508].
