Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western and central Pacific: Cocos-Keeling Islands, Malaysia and Indonesia east to Hawaiian Islands (U.S.A.) and Pitcairn Group, north to Ryukyu Islands and Ogasawara Islands (Japan), south to Western Australia, Lord Howe Island and Rapa. Habitat: marine.
