Current status: Valid as Aploactis aspera (Richardson 1845). Synanceiidae: Aploactininae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: China and Taiwan north to southern Sea of Japan; to northern Western Australia and Queensland (Australia) to New Caledonia. Habitat: marine.
