Paratypes: CAS-SU 36509-10 (2, 10); USNM 130635 [ex CAS-SU 36510] (2) Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:46 [ref. 12291], Ferraris & Vari 1992:27 [ref. 19771], Ferraris 2007:237 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Farlowella curtirostra Myers 1942 -- (Isbrücker 1980:97 [ref. 2303], Burgess 1989:441 [ref. 12860], Retzer & Page 1997:50 [ref. 23176], Galvis et al. 1997:84 [ref. 23651], Isbrücker 2001:27 [ref. 25653], Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:332 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:237 [ref. 29155], Ballen & Mojica 2014:140 [ref. 33176], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:77 [ref. 35633]). Current status: Valid as Farlowella curtirostra Myers 1942. Loricariidae: Loricariinae. Distribution: Lake Maracaibo drainage, Venezuela and Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
