Type catalog: Paepke 1999:103 [ref. 24282], Böhlke & Smith 2002:144 [ref. 26380]. Spelled reticulatus on plate, and in Bloch & Schneider 1801. First reviser Bloch & Schneider 1801 on Art. 24.2.4 of the Code [original author subsequently uses one name as valid]; also Paepke 1999:92 [ref. 24282]. On p. 71 of Bloch's Ichthyologie, v. 12 [ref. 21381].
