pharus, Trimmatom Winterbottom [R.] 2001:22, Fig. 3 [aqua, Journal of Ichthyology and Aquatic Biology v. 5 (no. 1); ref. 26167] Inner reef just north of Aonyme Island, Seychelles Islands, depth 0-2.7 meters. Holotype: ROM 72493 [ex USNM 293526]. Paratypes: ANSP Seychelles Is. Progr. Stn F66 (1), F82 (17); ROM 1264cs (5), 40668-69 (1, 3); USNM 261264 (1), 263555 (2), 263558 (3), 293526 (3), 293531 (10), 293539 (28). Plus non-type material. •Valid as Trimmatom pharus Winterbottom 2001. •Valid as Trimma pharus (Winterbottom 2001) -- (Allen & Adrim 2003:60 [ref. 26830], Hoese & Larson 2006:1691 [ref. 29097], Allen & Erdmann 2012:950 [ref. 31980], Winterbottom & Zur in Larson 2022:148 [ref. 39971]). Current status: Valid as Trimmatom pharus Winterbottom 2001. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific:Amirantes (Seychelles), Saint Brandon's Shoals (Cargados Carajos) and Chagos Archipelago (British Indian Ocean Territory) east to western Indonesia, north to Japan, south to Solomon Islands. Habitat: marine.
