Holotype: INHS 90759. Paratypes: INHS 55616 (4); UAIC 10140.03 (4). All other paratypes are ex INHS 64776: AUM 34592 (2), SIUC 43056 (2), TU 193623 (2), UF 119607 (2), USNM 367644 (2). •Valid as Etheostoma basilare Page, Hardman & Near 2003 -- (Nelson et al. 2004:132 [ref. 27807], Scharpf 2008:20 [ref. 30399], Page & Burr 2011:596 [ref. 31215], Page et al. 2013:136 [ref. 32708], Near & Thomas 2015:136 [ref. 34008]). Current status: Valid as Etheostoma basilare Page, Hardman & Near 2003. Percidae: Etheostomatinae. Distribution: Tennessee, U.S.A. Habitat: freshwater.
