Holotype: UMMZ 239851. Paratypes: MZUSP 76071-72 (3, 4); UMMZ 204209 (19, 2 c&s), 204719 (4, 1 DS), 204783 (9, 2 DS); USNM 319294 (7, 1 c&s). Plus non-type material. •Valid as Chalceus guaporensis Zanata & Toledo-Piza 2004 -- (Sarmiento et al. 2014:184 [ref. 35004], Careaga et al. 2020:75 [ref. 37774]). Current status: Valid as Chalceus guaporensis Zanata & Toledo-Piza 2004. Chalceidae. Distribution: South America: Guaporé and Mamoré river drainages, Madre de Dios River and Jaci-Paraná River in the upper Madeira River; Rio Beni (Brazil, Bolivia and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
