Type catalog: Ferraris et al. 2017:[12] [ref. 35236]. •Valid as Sternarchorhynchus chaoi de Santana & Vari 2010 -- (Ferraris et al. 2017:[12] [ref. 35236]). Current status: Valid as Sternarchorhynchus chaoi de Santana & Vari 2010. Apteronotidae: Apteronotinae. Distribution: Jamari River basin, Rondônia, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
