Holotype: SCSFRI D01562. Paratypes: Shanghai Fish. College D01473 (1), D01548 (1), D01567 (1). •Valid as Squalus acutirostris Chu, Meng & Li 1984 -- (Muñoz-Chápuli & Ramos 1989:6 [ref. 12577], White & Last 2013:229 [ref. 33042], Viana & Carvalho 2020:297 [ref. 37573], with first author as Zhu). •Should be considered as a junior synonym of Squalus mitsukurii Jordan & Snyder 1903 -- (White & Last 2013:229 [ref. 33042], Weigmann 2016:68 [ref. 34211]). Current status: Uncertain as Squalus acutirostris Chu, Meng & Li 1984. Squalidae. Distribution: Northwestern Pacific: Japan, Taiwan and China. Habitat: marine.
