Mus., Tribhuvan Univ., Kathmandu, Nepal) 16B-0206 to 0210 (5); NSMT-P 22191-97 (7). •Synonym of Racoma progasta (McClelland 1839) -- (Menon 1999:109 [ref. 24904]). •Synonym of Schizothoraichthys progastus (McClelland 1839) -- (Shrestha 2008:107 [ref. 29923]). •Valid as Schizothorax macrophthalmus Terashima 1984 -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:405 [ref. 20764], Dimmick & Edds 2002:921 [ref. 26447], Regmi et al. 2021:20 [ref. 40443]). Current status: Valid as Schizothorax macrophthalmus Terashima 1984. Cyprinidae: Schizothoracinae. Distribution: South Asia, Southeast Asia: Karnali River basin (northwestern Nepal) and southwest China. Habitat: freshwater.
