Holotype: WAM P.25392-001. Paratypes: AMNH 33976-77 (15, 12); WAM P.25025-002 (1), P.25026-003 (5), P.25027-003 (6), P.25029-002 (20), P.25032-005 (10), P.25040-002 (12, 3 deteriorated). Type catalog: Hutchins & Smith 1991:22 [ref. 19335], Moore et al. 2008:23 [ref. 30117]. •Valid as Leiopotherapon macrolepis Vari 1978 -- (Vari 1978:235 [ref. 4514], Paxton et al. 1989:534 [ref. 12442], Unmack 2001:1063 [ref. 25797], Hutchins 2001:31 [ref. 25847], Allen et al. 2002:226 [ref. 25930], Allen et al. 2006:1336 [ref. 29004], Morgan et al. 2011:16 [ref. 31262]). Current status: Valid as Leiopotherapon macrolepis Vari 1978. Terapontidae. Distribution: Australia: King Regent River and upper Roe River endemic (Kimberley, Western Australia). Habitat: freshwater.
