Reporting to the Senior Registrar/ Exhibit Collection Manager, the Exhibit and Digital Collections Registrar plans for and manages physical and digital collections on permanent and temporary exhibitions. The Exhibit and Digital Collections Registrar is responsible for registration, collections management and information management of collections in compliance with the Academy’s collections policy and relevant legal and ethical standards. This position manages and administers a digital collection management system used by the Exhibits Department.
Reporting to the Specialty Programs Supervisor, the On Call Specialty Programs Guide is responsible for providing expertly led “behind the scenes” tours of the Academy, including VIP Tours, NightLife VIP Tours and custom tours on an on call basis. Responsibilities may also include working and coordinating Specialty Programs events, including Penguins + Pajamas Sleepovers, Birthday Parties and Corporate events when necessary, as well as lead animal encounters.
The California Academy of Sciences is looking for an Associate Accountant to be a key member of the Accounting team. We are seeking a team member who is ready to learn, grow, and contribute to our organization. You will participate in various areas of the accounting process including accounts receivable, month-end close, regulatory filings, and financial statement reporting.
