Based on 'Pleuronectes oblongus, laevis ...' of Growow 1763:75 , no. 255 [ref. 1910], which was based on the 'Pleuronectes oblongus, laevis ...' of Gronow 1754:14 [ref. 20783], based on a specimen in the Seba collection from Ambon, Indonesia. •Synonym of Pardachirus marmoratus (Lacepède 1802) -- (Dor 1984:270 [ref. 29757], Randall & Johnson 2007:9 [ref. 29291], Golani & Fricke 2018:175 [ref. 36273]). •Synonym of Pardachirus pavoninus (Lacepède 1802) -- (R.
