Paratypes: VNCNTTS I: H.01.33.02.02 - 03 (15). •Valid as Hemiculter songhongensis Nguyen & Nguyen 2002-- (Kottelat 2013:111 [ref. 32989] as species inquirenda et incerta sedis, Vasil'eva et al. 2022:13 [ref. 38982]). •Synonym of Hemiculter annamiticus (Tirant 1883) -- (Endruweit 2025:122 [ref. 42401]). Current status: Synonym of Hemiculter annamiticus (Tirant 1883). Xenocyprididae. Habitat: freshwater.
