kojii, Plectranthias Koeda [K.], Muto [N.] & Wada [H.] 2021:[2], Figs. 1-3 [Ichthyological Research v. 69 (no. 3); ref. 38721] Off Hamahiga-jima Island, near coast of Okinawa-jima Island, Ryukyu Archipelago, Japan, depth 150 meters. Holotype (unique): ZUMT 62001 [ex KBF-I 1486]. Named after Koji Abe and Koji Wada, so the specific name should have been kojiorum (ICZN Art. 31.1.2). Corrected in erratum. •Valid as Plectranthias kojii Koeda, Muto & Wada 2021 -- (Anderson 2022:570 [ref. 39757]). •Valid as Plectranthias kojiorum Koeda, Muto & Wada 2021 -- (Shepherd et al. 2025:340 [ref. 41871]). •Valid as Pelontrus kojiorum (Koeda, Muto & Wada 2021) -- (Tang & Chen 2025:22 [ref. 42528]). Current status: Valid as Pelontrus kojiorum (Koeda, Muto & Wada 2021). Anthiadidae. Distribution: Northwestern Pacific: Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands (Japan). Habitat: marine.
