M.] & Ferrer [J.] 2025:5, Figs. 1, 2A, 3-9 [Neotropical Ichthyology v. 23 (no. 3): e250071; ref. 42531] Lajeado Taipa stream, tributary of the right bank of the Uruguai River, upper Uruguai River basin, Mondaí, Santa Catarina State, Brazil, 27°07'44"S, 53°28'22"W. Holotype: UFRGS 28000. Paratypes: MCP, MZUEL, UFRGS. •Valid as Ituglanis jaguarete Bressan, Donin & Ferrer 2025. Current status: Valid as Ituglanis jaguarete Bressan, Donin & Ferrer 2025. Trichomycteridae: Trichomycterinae. Distribution: South America: upper and lower Uruguai River basin, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul States, Brazil; and probably in the Uruguai River in Argentina. Habitat: freshwater.
