Holotype: CSU coll. Arabia fishes No. 1. Paratypes: CSU coll. Arabia fishes No. 2 (5), NMC 820109 (2). Current status: Valid as Cyprinion mhalensis Alkahem & Behnke 1983. Cyprinidae: Barbinae. Distribution: Middle East: Wadi ad-Dawasir drainage (Saudi Arabia). Habitat: freshwater.
