DIAGNOSIS
This species cannot be mistaken for any other Madagascar Dendroleontini. The dark bands across the wings, the peculiarly shaped wings, and large size are very distinctive.

Madagascar: Cote Est, Grandidier 1309-71.
GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION
This species is probably found in forested areas all along the east coast. However, at this time the only specific localities known are Fampanambo and Bekily.
TEMPORAL DISTRIBUTION
December.
ELEVATION
Exact data are not available, but Fampanambo and Bekily are relatively low elevation.

REMARKS
Probably all species of Cueta mentioned as existing in Madagascar (C. externa Navas, C. gracilis Navas, C. indefinita Navas, C. pilosa Navas, and C. simplicior Navas) belong to C. pallens.
