PALPARELLUS COLLECTION HOLDINGS

Species of Palparellus


Palparellus is the second largest genus of palparine ant-lions, but most of the included species have not yet been officially transferred to this genus. The largest species of ant-lion, Palparellus voeltzkowi (Kolbe), with a wingspan exceeding 160 mm belongs to Palparellus and is found in Madagascar. The CAS general collection has no species currently assigned to this genus.
