Green-bellied Forest Lizard, Adolfus africanus
Family Lacertidae. Members of this family are diurnal, not shiny, the scales not overlapping, and they have a well-defined neck. A. africanus is a true forest dweller, usually found in open areas where sunlight penetrates. All specimens were taken at elevations below 1800 m.
Size: to 63.5 mm. SV.
Habitat: frequent fallen tree limbs, trunks or exposed roots in true forest.
Range: Uganda, Congo, Congo-Brazzaville and Cameroon.
