Angola Blind Snake, Typhlops angolensis
Family Typhlopidae. This snake family consists of burrowers, typified by lack of eyes and a blunt tail, resembling a second head. This species is included on the basis of a single specimen deposited in the British Museum, probably collected at the lowest altitude within BINP.
Size: to 457 mm. TL
Habitat: fossorial, frequently in or under rotten logs in montane savannas, grassy highlands.
Range: Eastern Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, western Uganda
