Forest Green Snake, Philothamnus heterodermus
Family Colubridae. All three species of BINP Philothamnus are green, arboreal, diurnal, and difficult to distinguish in the field. Frequently found (and most easily captured) while sunning in early morning, they are probably lizard-eaters.
Size: to 922 mm. TL.
Habitat: bushes and small trees in a variety of habitats.
Range: Angola, Congo, Gabon, Congo-Brazzaville, Cameroon, Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Guinea Bissau.
