Elliot’s Chameleon, Chamaeleo ellioti
Family Chamaeleonidae. Both sexes have deep black-pigmented, transverse folds under the chin. C. ellioti was only found in disturbed or cultivated areas adjacent to the low elevation forest. Males lack horns. Like C. rudis, C. ellioti is a live-bearer.
Size: Males to 166 mm.TL.
Habitat: Not a forest species but very common on the periphery of BINP, especially in shambas, hedges, etc.
Range: southern Sudan, eastern Congo, Rwanda and Burundi, east to western Kenya; western Tanzania.
