Syntypes: 142-143 (2), 234-235 (2). •Synonym of Acrossocheilus iridescens (Nichols & Pope 1927), but a valid subspecies longipinnis (Wu 1939) -- (Chen et al. in Pan et al. 1991:153 [ref. 23876], Zhu 1995:59 [ref. 25213], Shan et al. in Yue 2000:121 [ref. 25272], Zhang et al.2016:87 [ref. 34477]). •Valid as Acrossocheilus longipinnis (Wu 1939) -- (Wu et al. 1977:286 [ref. 4807], Zheng et al. 1989:184 [ref. 21202], Yuan et al. 2012:160 [ref. 32352], Kottelat 2013:72 [ref. 32989], Yuan et al. 2015:160 [ref. 34103], Hoàng et al. 2025:14 [ref. 41866], Chen et al. 2025:12 [ref. 41924]). •Valid as Masticbarbus longipinnis (Wu 1939) -- (Endruweit 2025:59 [ref. 42401]). Current status: Valid as Masticbarbus longipinnis (Wu 1939). Cyprinidae: Acrossocheilinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Red and Xijiang River basins (southeastern China and northern Vietnam). Habitat: freshwater.
