Scruparia ambigua (d'Orbigny, 1841)

This inconspicuous, creeping bryozoan is classified as an anascan cheilostome. It is shown here growing attached to a branch of another anascan bryozoan species, Scrupocellaria diegensis. The red arrow points to an ovicell. This specimen was collected at the San Francisco Marina.
