Whether you are a seasoned science educator or new to the field, Science Action Club trainings make it easy and fun to lead hands-on STEM activities with youth. Available online and in-person, trainings provide step-by-step guidance for all 12 activities in each unit, valuable science content, and helpful strategies for teaching STEM in an informal learning environment.

SAC online trainings are interactive and fun! Using games, videos, and storytelling, each training provides two hours of instruction with step-by-step guidance for all activity plans, as well as important science background content and helpful teaching strategies. Available for computers and mobile devices, online trainings can be completed at your own pace, and on your own schedule. Online training is included with each SAC kit.
Become a Certified SAC Trainer
The SAC Training of Trainers (ToT) is a two-day hands-on workshop that prepares seasoned educators to lead SAC trainings for program staff. ToT participants should have experience teaching other educators, but no science background is needed. Registration is $1,295 and includes:
- Ten hours of guided, hands-on training
- One SAC kit (valued at $1,500)
- One training manual
- Access to Academy exhibits
- Breakfast, lunch, and snacks
Request a Customized Training
Need something special? Invite SAC trainers to lead an in-person training exclusively for program staff at your location! Each in-person training features:
- Coaching and support for leading STEM with youth
- Hands-on practice with SAC activities
- A facilitated professional learning community
Customized trainings are available for organizations that purchase ten or more kits on the same topic. Training fees start at $1,595 plus travel.
