Replacement name for Physoschistura elongata Sen & Nalbant 1982, secondarily preoccupied by Aborichthys elongatus Hora 1921 when both are in Nemacheilus. •Wrongly as a synonym of Nemacheilus elongatus (Sen & Nalbant 1981) -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:479 [ref. 20764]). •Valid as Nemacheilus barapaniensis Menon 1987 -- (Menon 1999:168 [ref. 24904] as Noemacheilus, Lokeshor & Wishwanath 2012:102 [ref. 32325]). •Synonym of Physoschistura elongata Sen & Nalbant 1982 on the basis of Art. 59.4 -- (Kottelat et al. 2007:39 [ref. 28942]). •Synonym of Schistura elongata (Sen & Nalbant 1982) -- (H.
