Based on Erythroculter hypselonotus of Lin 1934:621 [ref. 23133] which is based on 2 specimens and several literature sources. •Tentative synonym of Ancherythroculter daovantieni (Bănărescu 1967) -- (Kottelat 2001:18 [ref. 25482], Kottelat 2013:74 [re. 32989]). •Valid as Ancherythroculter lini Luo 1994 -- (Luo & Chen in Chen et al. 1998:153 [ref. 23878], Zhang et al. 2016:58 [ref. 34477]). Current status: Valid as Ancherythroculter lini Luo 1994. Xenocyprididae. Distribution: China. Habitat: freshwater.
