C.] 2005:728, Figs. 1C, 4 [Copeia 2005 (no. 4); ref. 28481] Small creek into cocho Zapote, tributary to Río Pacaya, 5°20'16"S, 74°29'10"W, Río Ucayali drainage, Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, Loreto, Peru. Holotype: MUSM 23000. Paratypes: MCP 29316 (3, 1 c&s), 29318 (3, 1 c&s), 29329 (1), 29582 (1), 34560 (3); MUSM 23001 (2); UF 146222 (2). Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:129 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Lepthoplosternum ucamara Reis & Kaefer 2005 -- (Ferraris 2007:129 [ref. 29155], Meza-Vargas et al. 2021:25 [ref. 39298]). Current status: Valid as Lepthoplosternum ucamara Reis & Kaefer 2005. Callichthyidae: Callichthyinae. Distribution: South America: Ucayli River, Peru, and Japurá River mouth (Brazil and Peru). Habitat: freshwater.
