Syntypes: 0154 (1), 0928-29 (1, 1), 1081 (1), 660025 (1), 660027-28 (1, 1), 660050-51 (1, 1). •Synonym of Acrossocheilus wenchowensis Wang 1935, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Zheng et al. 1989:181 [ref. 21202], Zhu 1995:57 [ref. 25213]). •Valid as Acrossocheilus beijiangensis Wu & Lin 1977 -- (Chen et al. in Pan et al. 1991:148 [ref. 23876], Shan et al. in Yue 2000:106 [ref. 25272], Yuan et al. 2006:170 [ref. 28704], Lan et al. 2014:437 [ref. 33407], Yuan et al. 2015:160 [ref. 34103], Zhang et al. 2016:86 [ref. 34477]). Current status: Valid as Acrossocheilus beijiangensis Wu & Lin 1977. Cyprinidae: Acrossocheilinae. Distribution: East Asia: Guangdong (China). IUCN (2011): Least Concern. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
