labeosus, Noemacheilus Kottelat [M.] 1982:169, Figs. 1-3 [Japanese Journal of Ichthyology v. 29 (no. 2); ref. 8460] Salween River at Mae Sahm Leap, Mae Hong Son Province, Thailand, 17°59'N, 97°44'E. Holotype: USNM 230060. Paratypes: CMK 3171-3172 (2), NIFI unnumbered A (2), NIFI unnumbered B (1), USNM 230061 (13). Genus is correctly Nemacheilus. •Valid as Nemacheilus labeosus Kottelat 1982 -- (Talwar & Jhingran 1991:487 [ref. 20764], Doi 1997:16 [ref. 22832], Karmakar 2000:31 [ref. 25662] as Noemacheilus). •Valid as Neonoemacheilus labeosus (Kottelat 1982) -- (Kottelat 1990:68 [ref. 14137], Bănărescu & Nalbant 1995:436 [ref. 23187], Arunkumar 2000:45 [ref. 25660], Kottelat 2012:93 [ref. 32367], Khynrian & Sen 2014:11 [ref. 33853], Bleher 2018:182 [ref. 36647]). Current status: Valid as Neonoemacheilus labeosus (Kottelat 1982). Nemacheilidae. Distribution: Salween River basin, northeastern India, Myanmar and Thailand. Habitat: freshwater.
