Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: East Africa, Mauritius (Mascarenes) and Maldives east to Hawaiian Islands, Marquesas Islands and Tuamotu Archipelago, north to southern Japan, south to Western Australia, New South Wales (Australia), Chesterfield Islands (New Caledonia) and Tonga. Habitat: marine.
