Plus non-type material. •Valid as Etheostoma akatulo Layman & Mayden 2009 -- (Page & Burr 2011:542 [ref. 31215], Layman & Mayden 2012:19 [ref. 32285], Page et al. 2013:136 [ref. 32708]). Current status: Valid as Etheostoma akatulo Layman & Mayden 2009. Percidae: Etheostomatinae. Distribution: Upper Caney Fork River system, Tennessee, U.S.A. Habitat: freshwater.
