On the fresh-water fishes collected by William Griffith, Esq., F. L. S. Madras Medical Service, during his travels under the orders of the Supreme Government of India, from 1835 to 1842. Calcutta Journal of Natural History v. 2 (no. 8): 560-589, Pls. 6, 15, 18, 21. [Cover dated January, 1842, but data for material collected in 1842 is included. Authorship of new taxa apparently is McClelland alone except for one genus and one species listed as McClell. et Griff. on p. 573; the use of "id." is confusing.]
