laichowensis, Garra Mai [D. Y.] (ex Hao & Hoa) 1978:54 [Identification of the fresh-water fishes of North Viet Nam v. 1; ref. 13511] Rivers and creeks of Lai-Châu, northern Vietnam. Syntypes: ?DVZUT. Apparently unavailable from Hao & Hoa 1969 according to Kottelat 1989:1102 [ref. 14361], but Kottelat 2001 [ref. 25482] reversed this interpretation and dated to Nguyen & Doan [= Hao & Hoa] 1969; see also Endruweit 2025:104 [ref. 42401]. •See account of Garra laichowensis Nguyen & Doan 1969. •Valid as Garra laichowensis (Mai 1978) -- (Endruweit 2024:15 [ref. 41040]). •Valid as Discogobio laichowensis (Mai 1978) -- (Endruweit 2025:104 [ref. 42401]). Current status: Valid as Discogobio laichowensis (Mai 1978). Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Phong Tho District, Lai Chau Province (northern Vietnam).
