Current status: Synonym of Cypselurus naresii (Günther 1889). Exocoetidae. Distribution: Western and Central Indian Ocean: East Africa to Nicobar Islands, Gulf of Oman and probably south to Madagascar [this subspecies]. Habitat: marine.
