K.] 2024:16, Figs. 4E, 5E, 6E, 8, 9 [American Museum Novitates No. 4024; ref. 41248] Orinoco River right bank at bedrock outcrop 52.9 km SE of San Antonio, 102 km west of La Esmeralda, Amazonas State, Venezuela, 3.10036°, -66.46277°, elevation about 100 meters. Holotype: AUM 43316. Paratypes: AUM 54192 (1), ROM 112354 (1). Plus additional non-type material. •Valid as Paravandellia brooksi Henschel, Baskin, Collins & Lujan 2024. Current status: Valid as Paravandellia brooksi Henschel, Baskin, Collins & Lujan 2024. Trichomycteridae: Vandelliinae. Distribution: South America: Upper Orinoco River main channel in southern Venezuela, the Aguarico River main channel in eastern Ecuador near the Peruvian border, and the Madeira River drainage, western Amazon basin. Habitat: freshwater.
