Sterleta Güldenstädt [J. A. von] 1772:533 Fem. Acipenser ruthenus Linnaeus 1758. Type by subsequent designation. Type listed by Jordan 1919:168 [ref. 2410] as above, but as nonbinomial. Actual is: "Sterleta: Acipenser rostro fubulato, recto, diametro oris quadruplo longiore; cirris vix ori propioribus; labiis integris." Two other similar taxa (Schypa and Seuruga) also appear on p. 533. Probably not available (non-binomial work), but only pp. 533-534 in this publication were examined.
